FMS is one of the oldest management institutes in
India. It was established in 1954 under the aegis
of the University of Delhi. The institute has
been delivering quality education and is giving a
prominent contribution to the development of
industry, businesses, government, and the social
sector. The executive MBA in FMS started in the
year 1954. The various program offered by the
institute are UGC approved and accredited by
NAAC. FMS is also a part of the Association of
Management Development Institutions of South Asia
(AMDISA). It takes part in the foreign exchange
program and collaboration with a number of
international institutes.
3Executive MBA from FMS Overview
FMS offers evening classes for executive MBAs for
working professionals. The course is of a
two-year duration. It offers an MBA executive and
MBA in Health Care Administration (HCA). The
course design gives a strong conceptual
foundation in the discipline of management. Its
course structure is in alignment with
contemporary business requirements. The main
focus of the MBA course is on developing leaders
with sound fundamentals who have the ability to
challenge conventional wisdom through
path-breaking innovations.
4Course structure The MBA Executive is composed
of four semesters in a span of two years. In the
first year, the course concentrates on imparting
management fundamentals in areas like Human
Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour,
Marketing Management, Managerial Finance,
Quantitative Methods, Managing Information
Technology, Operations Management, etc. Whereas
in the second year the students need to choose
electives in various areas such as Finance,
Marketing, Strategy, Information Technology,
Operations Management, Human Resource Management,
Organisational Behaviour, and Entrepreneurship.
Eligibility A candidate applying for the course
of the MBA executive must graduate from
university with a minimum of 45 marks and five
of work experience as an executive or an
administrator in a commercial/government
establishment/registered organization after
passing the Bachelors degree examination. For
pursuing MBA in Health care administration a
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 45 aggregate
marks orequivalent grade in MBBS/BDS/
BAMS/BUMS/BHMS. Or masters in Biotech/ zoology/
nursing/genetics/
5Admission Process An applicant who would like to
seek admission to FMS executive program must fill
out the online application form from the official
website http//www.fms.edu/. The selection is
based on the following parameters

6- The online registration process for admission
- The process of online registration is as follows
- Visit the FMS website www.fms.edu.
- once click on the online registration, it will
redirect you to the online registration. - Fill in the details in the form. Verify the
information as it is non-changeable. - Pay the registration fees once the process of
registration gets completed.
Fee for MBA executive program in FMS The fees
for the program are to be paid at the beginning
of the semester. However, the fee for the MBA
program is ? 48,000/ semester. Moreover, the
reserved category candidates are exempted from
the payment of the other facility fees except for
the admission and ID card fees.
7Pedagogy at FMS The classes are held in the
evening from Monday through Friday but are often
held for a longer duration on Saturday. The
student can attend the classes on either of the
two campuses the north and south campus. The
campus allocation is by FMS only. The FMS has a
library facility where you can access over 40,000
Books and Journals (including 60 foreign
Journals). Learners can also access the Delhi
University Library System which has a collection
of over 600,000 books (through the Online Public
Access Catalogue) andover 8,000 Journals
(including Online Journals). However, the
learners at the South Campus can also avail the
library facilities of S.P. Jain Advanced
Management Research Centre along with the
University of Delhi(which includes 1,50,000
books). The Wi-Fi on the campus helps the
learner access the live Databases, Online
Journals, and the World Wide Web. A computer
center is also there to help the learner update
about current events, day-to-day events, and
development worldwide. Business Simulations and
games on Investment Analysis and Portfolio
Management are available to the students.
