You cancelled your Iberia flight to/from the
United States within 24 hours of purchasing your
ticket (also known as Iberia Airlines 24-hour
cancellation policy). Your Iberia flight was
cancelled and you decided not to catch the
alternative flight. Your Iberia flight is delayed
by 5 hours or more. Your ticket conditions allow
you to opt for a refund. If a close relative dies
and you cancel your flight. A close relative can
be a spouse, parent, child, or in-law. You are
unable to travel due to COVID-19 (as explained
under Iberia Airlines Rebooking and Refund
Options Due to COVID-19).

Iberia Cancellation Policy Due to Rerouting of
Flights
Iberia Airlines cancellation policy further
states that you can request a refund and receive
compensation if your flight is suddenly cancelled
or delayed under certain situations, as
explained below. The compensation will be EUR
125 if your flight distance is up to 1,500 km and
the arrival time of the rerouted flight is up to
2 hours after the arrival time of the originally
scheduled flight, and EUR 250 if the delay
exceeds 2 hours. EUR 200 if your flight is an
intra-Community flight exceeding 1,500 km and the
arrival time of the rerouted flight is up to 3
hours after the arrival time of the originally
scheduled flight. EUR 200 if your flight distance
is 1,500 3,500 km and the arrival time of the
rerouted flight is up to 3 hours after the
arrival time of the originally scheduled flight,
and EUR 400 if the delay in arrival time is more
than 3 hours. EUR 300 for all flights not
included above if the rerouted flight has an
arrival time of up to 4 hours after the arrival
time of the originally scheduled flight or EUR
600 f the delay exceeds 4 hours.

How to Receive Compensation from Iberia Airlines
