262112 An ICT Security Specialist sets up,
manages and administers an organizations IT
security policy and procedures. They do it to

to computer systems from unauthorized access.

Tasks As a Security Specialist 262112, you need
to Design and maintain database architecture,
data structures, dictionaries, tables and naming
conventions to make ensure the completeness and
accuracy of all data master files. Perform the
operational establishment and preventive
maintenance of backups and recovery procedures
and enforce security and integrity
controls. Implement and administer database
documentation, policies, guidelines and
procedures.

Test database systems and upgrades like
debugging, reproduction, tracking, logging and
sort out identified problems as per approved
quality testing scripts, processes and
procedures. Take up responsibility for the
procedures, processes and operational management
related to the system security and disaster
recovery planning. Having liaison with security
vendors, suppliers, service providers and
external resources recommending, analyzing,
installing and maintaining software security
applications and monitoring contractual
obligations, performance delivery and service
level agreements

Troubleshoot and offer service support in
diagnosing, resolving and repairing
server-related hardware and software
malfunctions, encompassing workstations and
communication infrastructure. Maintain and
prepare documents, policies and instructions, and
record and detail operation procedures and
system logs. Make sure that the design of
computer sites permits all components to fit
together and work properly and monitor and
adjust the performance of networks.
