Tie-dye is a process for dying clothes that
results in impressive and vibrant patterns. The
technique involves crumpling or folding the
clothes in various ways, tying them with string,
and applying ink on them. Each type of folding
results in a different type of design, each with
a specific name. The fabric is tied and plunged
into dye, then squeezed out and rinsed. Different
areas of the fabric accept fabrics with different
designs and result in patterns in the final
product.
