About us

Uptown International School (UIS) is an
international school serving students from
pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in mirdif area,
Dubai City, UAE. It is a private institution
managed by Taaleem - one of the biggest education
providers in the Middle East.
Uptown International School is a fully authorized
IB World School, certified to offer the
IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), the IB Middle
Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme
(DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP) for
students from Pre-KG to Grade 12.
The Knowledge and Human Resources Authority
(KHDA) is an educational quality assurance
authority in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In
Dubai, they are responsible for the growth,
direction, and quality of private education and
learning. Throughout the years, they have
consistently rated the school as " exemplary.
Our goal is to support students through
high-quality education, enabling them to be as
independent as possible and to equip them with
the skills to be successful, well-rounded
individuals.

for pre-KG to Grade 12 located in the Dubai
Mirdif area, where young people learn, thrive and

Uptown International School is owned and managed
by the Taaleem Group which operates Early
Learning Centres, two UK curriculum and three IB
curriculum schools in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi
(with a further associated branch having opened
in September 2020). Located towards the Sharjah
border in Mirdif, Uptown was among the first IB
curriculum schools to open in Dubai.
