Billy Jensen is an investigative reporter who
served as executive producer and co-host for
Unraveled, a multi-part series on Discovery.
Additionally, he collaborates on The First
Degree podcast with Jac Vanek and Alexis
Linkletter. Mr. Jensen has a talent and passion
for collaborating with others, and when his dear
friend, Michelle McNamara, passed away suddenly,
he helped complete her book, Ill be Gone in
the Dark.

A LISTINGS ASSISTANT
At the age of 25, Billy Jensen found himself
grieving his fathers death while simultaneously
celebrating the birth of his daughter. Shortly
before that, his first feature story was
published, and he decided to leave professional
roller hockey to explore writing. He worked as a
listings assistant and was promoted to listings
editor while also reporting for the New York
Times on weekends.

A CRIME STORY WRITER
Billy Jensen earned his first cover story in the
spring of 1997. During this time, he decided to
pursue a career in professional roller hockey.
In 1998, he moved on from roller hockey and
began a position as a
listings assistant. He would move on to listings
editor while reporting for

the New York Times during his weekends. Since
then, his career as a crime story writer and
investigative journalist has skyrocketed and he
is renowned for solving crimes.
