Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs either
when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin
or when the body cannot effectively use the
insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone that
regulates blood glucose.

Type 1 Diabetes is also known as juvenile
diabetes or insulin dependent diabetes. It is an
autoimmune disorder and a chronic condition in
which the immune system of the human body
destroys the insulin making cells known as
pancreas. These cells are also called as beta
cells.

TYPE 2 DIABETES
Type 2 diabetes is known as adult onset diabetes
because this type of diabetes usually occurs at
the age of 45 or older. It is basically a most
common type of diabetes in which the blood
glucose is too high.

PRE- DIABETES
Prediabetes is also known as borderline diabetes.
In prediabetes it means the sugar level is higher
than normal. But it is not enough to consider it
as Diabetes. It is a type of diabetes which
occurs before type 2 diabetes.
