PARETO CHART POWER BI
Pareto Analysis, popularly named as the 80-20
Rule is an effective strategy to look into the
relativity across the causes of a problem. There
may occur scenarios in business, when 20
percentage of the group would provide 80
percentage of the major impact and 80 percentage
of the group impacting the least 20 percentage of
the scenario. The Pareto Charts allows us to
compare the effects caused by these
groups. Assume a Pareto chart displaying the
dimension members that cause the cost incurred in
an organization. The members are sorted in the
descending order and the percentile spend
contribution in a cumulative sequence. To measure
the relative impact a threshold value is
needed. Power BI is a Self servicing BI tool
and it does not have a native visualization to
display a Pareto Analysis.

A PARETO CHART IN POWER BI ADVANCED DAX
  • The first thing that I always recommend when
working on something similar with this analysis
is to turn the visualization into a table. This
way, you can really examine the numbers that are
needed to generate the said visualization.
  • For this scenario, you first need to create a
cumulative total to get the Total Revenue amount.
As you can see, there are no dates and numbers.
Therefore, it will be challenging to generate a
cumulative total thats based on text value
    instead of numbers.

SMARTSHEET REPORT PACK
  • Many companies use Smartsheet as it provides
simple collaboration for many different needs
including work management. The reports below are
based on sample plans from Smartsheet Agile
Project with Gantt, Bug Tracker Board, KPI
    Business Dashboard, New Product Development,
    Project Management Dashboard, Sales Pipeline
    Overview and Strategic Plan Dashboard
  • The Project Tasks report uses a bullet spectrum
chart to show actual cost vs budget with defined
red, yellow and green target zones for both
    overspend and underspend.

MICROSOFT AZURE DEVOPS REPORT PACK
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps is designed to support all
    phases of software development projects.
Business leaders need insights into the work
being managed in DevOps, and the Stratada report
pack can fill that need. Because of its great
flexibility, DevOps is now being used as an agile
work management system for many kinds of projects
not just software. The Stratada Program
Taskboard and Timeline visuals are the highlights
of these reports, but many more metrics are
analyzed with other types of visuals.
