  in on a planner can be a daunting task. Here are
  a few questions that you must ask before opting
  for a wedding decor hire.

• Do they specialise in wedding venue decorations
  for your wedding style?
• No venue stylist is a jack of all trades.
  Although they can style for all tastes and
  themes, they will all have a style they
  specialise in. Therefore, there is no point in
  going to a company that specialises in modern
  look wedding venue decor and asking them to do a
  rustic-styled wedding for you. Not only will it
  cost you more as they probably will not have
  everything you need to hand, it is not their
  specialist area, so you cannot guarantee that you
  will get what you want.

• If you are dry-hiring, what are the rules?
• Each wedding decor company will subject you to
  different hire terms and conditions. Each
  companys set of terms will be more or less
  favourable to you depending on your situation
  for instance, some may be more flexible during
  the low season.
• So, behave with all their terms and conditions.

• What is the hire period for materials and devices
  used?
• This can be a huge problem. Some companies
  require their hire stock to be returned the day
  after a wedding. This can be quite tedious for a
  couple if they cannot ask anyone else to clean
  and return items for them. No one wants to do
  that job the morning after their wedding.
• Does your wedding decorator own their stock?
• All decorators cross-hire, i.e. one vendor hires
  from another. There is nothing wrong with it. If
  a client asks for chair sashes in Burnt Sienna,
  it is possible the decorators dont have them.
  There are two choices buy it or hire it from
  another company. The cheapest option (and
  therefore better for you) is if we can get it
  from another hire company.

  of wedding venue decorations?
• This question is related to the previous
  question. If your decorators dont own their
  stock, will you pay them more? If yes, this
  company is definitely not worth being a part of
  your event.
