1. SARVA SHIKSHA ABHIYAN (SSA)
The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is a flagship
program launched by the government of India to
provide universal elementary education to
children aged 6 to 14 years. The program aims to
improve access, quality, and equity in education
by providing free and compulsory education to
all children. Under the SSA, the government
provides financial assistance to states and union
territories for the construction of schools in
Dehradun and India, the hiring of teachers, and
the supply of textbooks and other teaching aids.

2. MID-DAY MEAL SCHEME (MDMS)
The Mid-Day Meal Scheme (MDMS) is a school meal
program launched by the government of India to
enhance the nutritional quality of children
studying in government and government-sponsored
schools. Under this system, free mid-day meals
are given to students on all active days. The
meals provided include rice, dal, vegetables, and

3. RASHTRIYA MADHYAMIK SHIKSHA ABHIYAN (RMSA)
The Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) is

enrolment rate in secondary schools and English
medium schools and improve the quality of
education by providing adequate infrastructure,
training of teachers, and the supply of teaching
aids. Under the RMSA, financial assistance is

construction of schools, hiring of teachers, and
the supply of textbooks and other teaching aids.

4. NATIONAL MEANS-CUM-MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
(NMMSS)
The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme
(NMMSS) is a centrally sponsored scheme launched
by the government of India to give scholarships
to economically weaker and talented students.
The scheme is aimed at reducing the drop-out rate
at the secondary level and encouraging
meritorious students to continue their
education. Under the NMMSS, scholarships are
provided to students studying in classes 9 to 12
who have secured at least 55 marks in the
previous year's examination and belong to the
economically weaker sections of society.

5. NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
The National Scholarship Scheme is a government
program that provides financial assistance to
students who cannot afford to pay for their
education. The program provides scholarships to
students from economically weaker sections of
society, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and
other minority communities. The scholarship
payment differs relying on the level of education
and the category of the student. Under the
scheme, students can receive financial assistance
for tuition fees, books, uniforms, and other
expenses related to education.

6. SCHEMES FOR GIRL EDUCATION
The government of India has launched several
schemes to promote education among girls in
schools in India. These schemes aim to increase
the enrollment rate of girls in schools and give
financial aid to families who can't afford to
enroll their daughters in school. Some of the
popular schemes for girl education include the
Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana, and the Sukanya

children with disabilities by providing adequate
