Genesis Educational and Charitable Trust (GECT)
was established on the 21st of April 2009 to
serve the downtrodden of our society. The
charitable trust has been relentlessly working
for the last 13 years with the poor backward
class and underprivileged women and children

Goals
Our Projects are aimed to cater the basic needs
of the tiger victim families and transform their
livelihoods in terms of better health and
education. Our project goals are aligned with the
following 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the
United Nations.

Get Involved
The amount of funds is not significant to us. The
amount of impact it does to the marginalized
community of tiger victim families matters to us
the most.
We concentrate on health and education primarily
and our operations are widespread to the villages
of Jharkhali, Amlamethi, Gosaba, and Basanti
blocks of Sunderbans.
Under the able supervision of Dr.Purnendu Roy,
GECT has been associated with the people of
Sunderbans for many years and has reached
thousands of widows and children so far. ?
GECT does not involve any third parties and
reaches out to the communities directly to
implement these programs with the help of its
core team and local volunteers.
