    considered a route of great importance in the
    Hindu religion. It is regarded as a matter of
    great significance.
  • The Yatra starts from the west to the east. This
    sacred voyage is known as The Char Dham Yatra,
    which is a collection of four sacred sites. It is
    believed that someone visiting these sites can
    achieve moksha or salvation. 
  • This sacred journey is said to be a matter of
    great importance and it is believed that every
    Hindu should visit the Char Dham at least once. 
  • Why should one take this sacred trip?
  • The tour is undertaken by the pilgrims which
    consists of four Hindu shrines. The tour is done
    with a belief that it washes away all the sins

  • Yamunotri Temple 
  • Situated at an altitude of approximately 3,291
    meters,   the Yamunotri temple is a revered
    religious site located in the western Garhwal
    Himalayas of India.
  • Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, who is considered
    the source of the holy River Yamuna, the temple
    is regarded as one of the four sacred pilgrimage
    destinations included in the Chota Char Dham
    Yatra Tour.
  • It is also the source of the Yamuna River, which
    is considered the second most holy river in
    India.  the site also features two hot springs
    named Surya Kund and Gauri Kund which add to the
    tranquil and peaceful atmosphere of the Yamunotri
    temple.

    visitors can reach there by trekking from either
    Hanuman ki Chhati or Janki Chhati. Horses are

    of the River Ganges - Gaumukhit, is located not
    far from the temple, just 18 km away.

  • Situated at a distance of 40 km from Kedarnath
    Dham, this pilgrimage centre is nestled in the
    Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The temple was
    established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th
    century after he discovered the idol of Lord
    Badri in the waters of Alakanda.
  • The temple houses the black idol of lord Vishnu.
    One can reach the temple by road. 
  • It is situated against the stunning scenery of
    the snow-capped peaks of Nar and Narayan. 
  • The pilgrims believe in taking a dip in the hot
    water sprigs of Tapt Kund which is situated in
    close proximity to Badrinath Temple. It is a part
