Amalgamated Plantation Pvt ltd (A TATA
Enterprise)
Objective To expand the range of contraceptive options available in tea-gardens by introducing two new methods and demonstrating a successful model.
Expected Outcomes Introduction of two new contraceptive methods in the tea-gardens, providing workers with a wider range of options. Development of a successful model that can be replicated in other tea-gardens and adapted to other Industral Catchment Areas around the country
Scale Implementation in the tea-gardens with a significant workforce, including hard-to-reach populations and vulnerable communities
Sustainability A memorandum of understanding (MoU) is set to be signed on February 24, 2023, and advocacy efforts will be made to encourage other major companies such as Goodricke and Williamson Magor to include the intervention in their workforce programs. Inclusion in the state PIP will also be advocated for.  Initiated discussion with Ethical Tea Plantation to sustain the initiative.

Partnership with KISS
Saathi Menstrual Health Management through
OneMillionPads
Objective Demonstrate a successful menstrual health and hygiene model, with the aim of improving sexual and reproductive health (SRH) wellbeing of young people, particularly girls.
Expected Outcomes 500 young girls use biodegradable sanitary pads for three months from the beginning of the intervention.
Expected Outcomes Reduce Hazard of Menstrual Waste being disposed by incineration, throwing away in garbage bins or landfills
Expected Outcomes An impact study report on the behavior change of girls around the uptake of new pads and their menstrual health management.
Scale KISS as potential buyer directly impacting 40,000 girls. Odisha State Medical Corporation (Annual 2 Cr pieces). Involvement of 50,000 ASHAs.
Sustainability The program has the potential to benefit a significant number of individuals, including 40,000 girls who could be impacted directly through KISS's involvement in the space of Menstrual Health. The Odisha State Medical Corporation has mentioned that there is a need for 2 crore pads annually. The intervention can be sustained through the efforts of 50,000 Asha workers involved in this.

Shadow Puppeteer Artist - Dr. Gouranga Charan
Dash Strengthening SRH narratives through
Shadow Puppetry
Objective Utilize the traditional art form of Shadow Puppetry to promote sexual and reproductive health (SRH) narratives while also addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and child, early, and forced marriage (CEFM) in the community.
Expected Outcomes The program delivered five training workshops for the 75 peer educators, further enhancing their knowledge and skills in performing shadow puppetry shows and engaging with the community on SRH and gender-related issues. These workshops were conducted successfully, ensuring that the peer educators were equipped with the necessary tools to effectively promote SRH and gender-related issues within their communities.
Scale The program aims to train 75 peer educators who will be able to reach out to 60,000 of their peers within the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS). By utilizing the shadow puppetry shows, the peer educators will be able to effectively promote SRH and gender-related issues, and also address harmful practices such as GBV and CEFM among their peers. This will result in a significant impact on the community within KISS, promoting positive behavior change and improved SRH outcomes
Sustainability The program has the potential to benefit a significant number of individuals, including 40,000 girls who could be impacted directly through KISS's involvement in the space of Menstrual Health.

Applied for external Grants (Miles for Mothers-  60,000 USD)

Kalinga Institute of Social Science
Objective To strengthen the Life Skills Education (LSE) curriculum at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) by revisiting and revising it with the integration of learnings from BaateinUnlocked (BU) and aligning it with national curriculums such as the School Health and Wellness Programme (SHWP) and Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK).
Expected Outcomes The integration of learnings from BaateinUnlocked into the existing Life Skills Education curriculum at KISS. The alignment of the Life Skills Education curriculum with national curriculums such as the School Health and Wellness Programme and Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram. Strengthened Life Skills Education curriculum that will benefit over 30,000 students at KISS.
Scale Over 30,000 students at KISS will benefit from the revised Life Skills Education curriculum.
Sustainability The revised Life Skills Education curriculum will be integrated as a running curriculum at KISS for long-term sustainability.
Time Frame March 2023 to May 2023.

Kalinga Institute of Social Science
Objective To strengthen the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) component of the sports and youth policy in Odisha and revive it to better represent the voice and aspirations of  young people in the state of Odisha.
Expected Outcomes A vibrant sports and youth policy that addresses the SRH needs and aspirations of young people in Odisha, especially those who are vulnerable. Inclusion of SRH as an integral part of the policy, ensuring the provision of comprehensive SRH services and education for youth involved in sports. Better awareness and understanding of SRH among young people involved in sports, leading to improved health outcomes and reduced stigma. Improved access to SRH services and resources for youth in the state of Odisha.
Scale The states  sports and youth policy 2023 will impact a large number of young people across Odisha. 
Sustainability The sports and youth policy is owned and implemented by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, ensuring its sustainability beyond the project timeline.

Objective Empower young people with the skills and knowledge needed for financial literacy, career development, and sales skills, ultimately leading to increased livelihood opportunities.
Expected Outcomes 20 Yash enterprises and  40 youth champions/fellows trained in financial literacy, career aspirations, and sales skills, leading to improved livelihood options for young people.
Scale The initiative will reach out to a significant number of young people, with the potential to impact many more.
Sustainability The initiative will be sustainable in the long run, with over 200 professionals from Kotak Finance extending voluntary support to young people through existing sub-partners.
Time Frame The initiative is expected to run from March 2023 to September 2023.

CSC
Objective Leverage the CSC Network of over 4.3 Lakh CSCs/VLEs  and Over 3000 CSC Academy Training Centres for various MCGL Interventions .
Expected Outcomes The CSC centres could be used as a resource centre and point of contact for delivery of reproductive services, contraceptives which would be marketed by women VLEs. They can further reach out to their peers including women SHG members. They would coordinate with local ASHAs and Angan wadi workers to get the list of married women, pregnant women, lactating women, educate them on importance of contraceptives, birth spacing, and unwanted pregnancies.  The CSC Academy centres could be used to train the VLEs, ASHAs and other stakeholders as needed.
Scale The CSC Network can be used to scale to each panchayat in India.
Sustainability Since the VLEs can be incentivized and build a sustainable business a sustainable model improving access to FP products and Services
