We are conveniently located in the Vancouver
area, and dispatch crews within the Lower
Mainland and beyond to remote locations in the
wilds of British Columbia, Western Canada, the
Territories and Arctic, USA, Africa, and South
America. We specialize in finding innovative
solutions for remote and environmentally
sensitive drilling programs utilizing
high-powered lightweight portable drilling
systems. Our equipment is transportable by
helicopter, small aircraft, boat or even backpack.

Environmental investigations frequently call for
soil and groundwater data at locations that
conventional drilling equipment cant access.
Rocky Mountain Soil Sampling has developed
effective methods to collect soil samples,
install monitoring wells and vapour sampling
wells in areas others cant. With our electric
powered drills, we can get in do the job and get
out, with no fumes, no hydraulic hoses or
hydraulic liquid spills to worry about and
minimal impact to the stock in the store.

Sediment sampling can be one of the most
challenging environments to work in. So many
fragile organisms and so much sensitive habitats.
Soft slippery working conditions. And all that
water! With our hand-portable sampling equipment,
we can walk on a soft shoreline at low tide,
without sinking into the muck, and core down to
over 20-feet, and also install monitoring wells.

A vapor survey is one of the least intrusive
methods of determining the extent of contaminated
soil and groundwater. With our lightweight
equipment, we can quickly advance 1-inch diameter
holes to a depth of 5 feet and rapidly install
vapor probes. Rocky Mountain Soil samplings
portable drilling solutions can be more
cost-effective than conventional drilling
solutions for vapor probe instillation.
