Polyethylene glycol (PEG) has ubiquitous use in
biomaterials, due to its good biocompatibility,
non-toxicity and low immunogenicity. With the
rapid development of diblock copolymers in
biomedicine, nanomaterials, sustained release and
photonic crystals fields, there are more and
more studies on the use of PEG as basic skeleton
to develop copolymers. PEGylated copolymers
mainly include carbohydrates, hyaluronic acid,
polyamino acid and others. PEGylated copolymers
have been developed for a wide range of
