With the objective of imparting quality education
and excellence in learning, the Central Board of
Secondary Education (CBSE) was formed as the
national board of education in India for public
and private schools. It is under the Government
of India and all the schools that are affiliated
with CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum, especially
from classes 9 to 12. The CBSE syllabus includes
CBSE courses, subject-wise content, assessment
guidelines, pedagogical content, marking schemes,
and practical exams syllabus.

The syllabus is divided into two parts and
includes the topics for term 1 and term 2
examinations. During the learning process,
whatever needs to be studied, is summarised, and
the list of chapters for a particular class is
mentioned. It should be noted that most of the
national level examinations are based on the CBSE
syllabus, and NCERTs form the basis of
preparation.
