Description Major Requirements for License Pest
Control Advisor -- 1) Unless licensed as a
pesticide advisor in Arizona prior to Jan. 1,
2000, hold bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in
agricultural sciences, biological sciences, or
pest management or have 45 semester units (67.5
quarter units) of college-level curricula as
listed in Part D of Arizona Administrative Code
R3-3-207, and 24 months of technical experience.
As proof of this criteria, applicant will submit
official transcript verifying the courses
completed and the degrees granted to the
applicant or employment records, a statement
from an employer, or other similar proof of
technical experience to the Associate Director
2) Pass written core examination (score of at
least 75) 3) List, by category, examinations
applicant has passed 4) Whether applicant had a
similar license revoked, suspended, or denied in
this or any other jurisdiction during the last
three years, and the nature of the violation
resulting in the revocation, suspension, or
denial License Fee - Initial (Up to 1 year,
expiring Dec. 31) - 50 Renewal (1 or 2 Years on
or before Dec.31) - 50 per licensing year
Continuing Education 15 credit units annually,
unless licensee passes pest control management
exam administered by Department. Documentation of
completed courses must be submitted to Department
to obtain license renewal.
