Al Marwan Building Stronger Foundations for
Aradas Aljada
Arada Developments recently announced the award
of a 27 million contract to Al Marwan for Phase
2 of Al Jada's infrastructure works. The 6.5
billion mixed-use project requires the
construction of power, water, and communications
networks, as well as landscape and road
construction, for several communities. Al
Marwan's use of specialized construction
equipment was crucial in completing the project
successfully. For over 45 years, Al Marwan has
been known to support the infrastructure and
contracting sectors in the UAE, working with
governments and private developers alike. Their
fleet hosts the right specialized equipment
needed to complete foundation, trenching, and
road building projects.

Equipment Used in Aljada Infrastructure Works Due
to the different requirements at Aljada, multiple
road building machinery were used to deliver the
project on time. This included a large number of
asphalt pavers, tipper trucks, road rollers, and
light and heavy compaction equipment. Al Marwan
utilizes state of the art Wirtgen, Dynapac,
Volvo, Hamm, among other brands of machinery to
get the job done right. These were used for the
construction of main and secondary roads,
parking lots, and a large paved area that is now
used for the iconic Zad Food Square.

Specialized Equipment for Moving and Compacting
Materials The project was no simple task, and
there needed various specialized equipment to
complete the work, including bulldozers, graders,
and piling rigs. Bulldozers were used to level
the ground and prepare it for further
construction. The large, powerful Komatsu D475A
dozer was first debuted on this site to move
large piles of debris and material to create a
clean, even surface.

Gradation work was handled by graders, which
ensured that the ground had the proper slope for
drainage and water flow. Machines such as the new
Komatsu GD755-5R have a specialized blade that
can cut and level the ground at precise angles.
In addition to these machines, Al Marwan also
used sheet piling rigs to lay the foundations for
subsequent commercial and residential structures.

Al Marwan's skilled operators and the latest
equipment played a significant role in the
successful completion of the infrastructure work
in Al Jada. The use of specialized machinery
allowed for faster and more efficient
construction, ensuring that the project was
completed on time and to the highest quality
