What Are TMT Bars?

• Thermo-mechanically treated (TMT) bars are
  high-strength reinforcement bars that are strong
  and flexible. TMT bars are used in construction
  projects. They have a tough outer core and a soft
  inner core. This is due to the unique
  manufacturing process, which involves the
  following
• Passing steel wires through a rolling mill stand
• Giving the steel 'billets' shape
• Quickly cooling the outside of the bars with a
  high-pressure water spray
• Letting the inner core cool slowly on cooling beds
