Title: Healthy and Convenient Options For Your Meals

1
What Are Processed Foods and Beverages?
  • Natures SunGrown Foods, Inc.

2
Processed Foods
  • Processed foods are those that have been changed
from their original state, whether it be by
removing inedible parts of them (such as peeling
fruit and vegetables), adding salt or sugar, or
    changing the texture or flavour.
  • They can also be those that have been preserved
for a long time by canning, freezing or drying.
These include jam, pickles, tinned fruit and
vegetables, frozen ready meals, processed cheeses
    and some baked bread.
  • Dairy And Organic Food in this group are
generally recognized as being sources of salt,
saturated fat (including "trans" fat) and sugar
and that excessive intake is linked to many
global public health concerns including obesity,
type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • Mildly processed foods are those that have been
altered but still retain the shape and texture of
their original ingredients. They can be used as a
convenience when you are short of time, low in
energy or need to make quick meals. Examples
include tomato sauce, salad dressing and ketchup.

3
Alcoholic Beverages
  • Alcoholic beverages are a large group of drinks
that contain varying amounts of ethanol
(alcohol). They include beer, wine and China rice
wine, as well as distilled spirits such as
brandy, whisky, cognac, rum and gin. These are
consumed by both low-income and high-income
groups of the population in India. They are
highly influenced by the law of demand and
supply, with increased demand and limited supply
causing higher prices, and vice versa.
  • You'll want to find a supplier that can provide
your restaurant with premium wines, and that has
good relationships with different wine producers.
A good way to ensure that is to work with a
sommelier, who will already have established
connections and be able to recommend the best
    wines for your menu.
  • For beer, you'll need a supplier who can provide
you with multiple quotes and develop
    long-standing relationships with breweries. The
same goes for spirits - you'll want to work with
a supplier who can provide you with multiple,
quality quotes for different brands of spirits.

Specialty Beverages
  • Whether served at the bar or to go, specialty
drinks complement good food. They can be consumed
while waiting for a meal or used as an aperitif
to stimulate the appetite, during the meal
itself, or afterwards as a digestif.
  • According to SmartCompany Plus, non-alcoholic
beverage sales rose by 1.7 per cent in the past
year, a sign that consumers are continuing to
drink less but better. Data from Endeavour Group,
which owns Dan Murphys and BSW liquor stores,
shows that specialty beverages are growing at an
even faster rate, as consumers look for healthy,
    lower-calorie options.
  • Grocery And Beverage Exporters come in many
forms, from tea and coffee to soft drinks and
juices. Whatever your customers tastes, you must
ensure you offer the best quality beverages
possible. Using the correct ingredients to
optimize the taste and health of your beverages
is crucial for success in this category.
Refrigerating your beverages is also essential,
as ice can affect the taste and temperature of
    the drink when it melts.
