Types of Welding Fume Extractors
There are two main types of welding fume
extractors source-capture and ambient.
Source-capture extractors are positioned near the
welding area and capture fumes at the source,
while ambient extractors clean the air in the
entire workspace. There are new fume extractors
that capture 98 of fumes at the source.

Source-Capture
Ambient welding fume extractors are ideal for
larger workspaces and areas with lower fume
concentrations. They clean the air in the entire
workspace, reducing the risk of worker exposure
and improving air quality for everyone in the
area. Some models are ceiling-mounted and take up
little space.
Source-capture welding fume extractors are ideal
for confined spaces and areas with high fume
concentrations. They capture fumes at the source,
preventing them from spreading to other areas and
reducing the risk of worker exposure. Some models
are portable and easy to move between

Translas's Fume Extractor
Translas fume extraction system works by using
specially designed welding torches that have a
built-in module to safely extract welding fumes
at the source. The torches are connected to
portable or stationary fume extraction units that
filter the fumes and remove them from the
workplace. The fume extraction system can capture
