2Pulmonary Artery Hypertension (PAH) is a rare
type of hypertension that causes high blood
pressure that affects arteries in your lungs,
causing them to become thickened and narrowed,
this results in your heart beating to work
harder while pumping blood through those
narrowed arteries. The pulmonary artery is a
vessel that carries blood from the right side of
the heart to the lung and an increase in
pressure of these arteries is known as pulmonary
hypertension. If it is not treated on time it
can lead to chronic changes in the right side of
the heart leading to right heart failure, which
in turn is again not treated can cause global
cardiac failure, which in turn if not treated can
cause global heart failure.
