2The latest property assessments released by BC
Assessment reveal a slight decline in property
values across Whistler and Squamish for 2024. In
Whistler, single-detached homes saw a 2 percent
decrease, while strata properties experienced a
one percent dip. Conversely, Pemberton saw a
slight uptick in property assessments. BC
Assessment Assessor Bryan Murao noted that the
overall housing market has stabilized, with most
homeowners experiencing modest changes in their
assessments. Murao also emphasized the importance
of property owners reviewing their assessments
and contacting BC Assessment if they believe
their property value does not reflect market
conditions. Additionally, property owners have
the option to submit a Notice of Complaint
(Appeal) by January 31 for an independent review
by a Property Assessment Review Panel.
