Title: Revolutionizing Healthcare With Digital Health
1REVOLUTIONIZING HEALTHCARE WITH DIGITAL HEALTH
EXPLORING THE FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE DELIVERY
2The Digital Health Agency has granted funding to
health experts so that it can help the ACCHS in
NSW by providing resources and expertise in
digital health technology so that they can offer
the Aboriginal communities high-quality
healthcare services. Consider digital health to
be more than just a gimmick rather, it is an
essential component of our business that enables
us to carry out our mission of enhancing the
well-being of the Aboriginal community and
extending life.
3Using digital health technologies has several
advantages, such as
- Increased effectiveness By lowering paperwork,
enhancing communication, and simplifying the
access process, digital health technology can
contribute to an increase in the effectiveness of
healthcare. - Increased quality By giving doctors access to
more patient data, enabling remote patient
monitoring, and giving patients access to
training materials, digital health technology can
assist to raise the standard of care. - Improved accessibility Regardless of a person's
location or financial situation, digital health
technology can make healthcare more accessible by
making it simpler for people to receive care.
4Even if there are a lot of potential advantages
to digital health, there are certain issues that
must be resolved, such as
- Security Security is a major concern with
digital health technologies, as patient data is
often stored on these devices. - Interoperability Different digital health
technologies often do not work together, making
it difficult for patients to share their data
with their healthcare providers. - Digital literacy Aboriginal people may have
lower levels of digital literacy than other
Australians, which can make it difficult for them
to use digital health technologies. - Cultural appropriateness Digital health
technologies need to be culturally appropriate
for Aboriginal people. This means that they need
to be designed in a way that is respectful of
Aboriginal culture and values. - Adoption There is a need to increase the
adoption of digital health technologies by both
healthcare providers and patients.
5Aiming to improve the quality and sustainability
of health and care, the National Digital Health
Strategy identified seven strategic targets that
are encompassed by the umbrella term "digital
health." By highlighting the four divisions in
the strategy's implementation for NSW's
Aboriginal communities. These divisions are
- My Health Record
- Electronic Prescription
- High-quality data
- Telehealth.
