The flower fields were designed by Dutch
landscape architect Niek Roozen, who is well
known for his work throughout China and beyond.
According to China Daily, Marco Polo Flower World
claims to be the largest flower field in
China.  It was quite an expensive
undertaking. The Daily Mail reports the theme
park cost more than 180 million, but it didn't
all go to the flowers. The park also features a
5D ride that tells Marco Polo's story
