Surgery
Chemotherapy
Radiation Therapy
Mohs surgery
Immunotherapy
The primary treatment for most gynecologic
cancers. Surgeons remove the tumor and
surrounding tissues. For ovarian cancer,
hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) may be
necessary.
Uses drugs to kill cancer cells or stop them from
growing. It's often used after surgery to kill
any remaining cancer cells, or before surgery to
shrink tumors. Chemotherapy can be given orally
or through injections.
Uses high-energy beams to kill cancer cells or
shrink tumors. It can be external (from outside
the body) or internal (placing a radioactive
substance near the cancer).
This specialized surgery involves removing layers
of cancerous tissue one at a time and examining
them under a microscope until no cancer cells
remain.
Boosts the body's immune system to fight cancer.
It's being studied for use in some gynecologic
cancers, especially recurrent or advanced cases.
