Check Date and Time Settings Ensure your
system's date and time are correctly
set. Right-click on the time display on the
taskbar and select "Adjust date/time." Correct
the settings if they are incorrect and restart
your computer.
Run QuickBooks as Administrator Right-click on
the QuickBooks icon and select "Run as
Administrator." Ensure you have administrative
privileges on the computer.
Verify Internet Explorer Settings Open Internet
Explorer. Go to Tools gt Internet Options gt
Advanced. Ensure SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 are checked
under the Security section. Apply the changes and
restart Internet Explorer.
Configure Firewall and Security Software Make
sure your firewall or security software is not
blocking QuickBooks files. Add exceptions for
QuickBooks and its components (e.g.,QBW32.exe, QBU
pdate.exe).
Check Internet Connection Settings Ensure that
your internet connection is working properly. Go
to Internet Options in Internet Explorer and
click on the "Connections" tab. Click on "LAN
settings" and ensure that "Automatically detect
settings"is checked and "Proxy server" is
unchecked unless a proxy server is used.
