To resolve QuickBooks Update Error 15102, follow
these ten steps
Verify the Payroll Service Key Ensure the
payroll service key is correct. Go to Employees gt
My Payroll Service gt Manage Service Key, and
verify the key. Check the Mapped Drive Verify
the mapped drive is correct. If the location is
incorrect, remap the drive by disconnecting and
reconnecting it.
Switch to Single-User Mode Make sure QuickBooks
is in single-user mode. Go to File gt Switch to
Single- user Mode.
Ensure Correct Shared Download Settings Go to
Help gt Update QuickBooks gt Options. Ensure the
download location is correct and set Shared
Download to Yes or No, as needed.
Run QuickBooks as Administrator Right-click on
the QuickBooks icon and select Run as
Administrator.
Verify User Account Control (UAC) Settings
Ensure UAC is turned off temporarily. Go to
Control Panel gt User Accounts gt Change User
Account Control settings, and set it to Never
Notify. Check Internet Explorer Settings Make
sure Internet Explorer settings are correct. Go
to Tools gt Internet Options gt Security, and set
the level to Medium-high. Reinstall
QuickBooks If none of the above steps work,
reinstall QuickBooks. First, uninstall it from
the Control Panel, then download the latest
version from the Intuit website and reinstall it.
Update Windows Ensure your Windows operating
system is fully updated. Go to Settings gt Update
Security gt Windows Update, and check for
updates. Reset QuickBooks Update Reset the
QuickBooks update. Go to Help gt Update QuickBooks
gt Update Now tab, and check the Reset Update box,
then click Get Updates.
