STATUS
About the project
The project is an open area for the food court
spread over the approximate 11,900 sqft in the
Edmonton mall It has around 10 different food
outlets and a wide space for a sitting area.
Despite of an open area, the food court has an
aesthetic ceiling, bulkheads, different types of
floors, skylights
Input
Point cloud data
Scope of work
Develop a comprehensive Architecture, Structure,
and Mechanical Vents model from the provided
point cloud data. Incorporate key architectural
elements, including walls, columns, doors,
openings, flooring, ceiling, and skylights, Roof,
is meticulously aligned with actual site
conditions to ensure aesthetic congruence.
Integrate HVAC systems, strategically placing
vents in corresponding locations for optimal
Functionality and alignment with the overall
design.

3Challenges
Benefit to the client
Data Accuracy and Quality Point clouds obtained
from 3D scanning devices may contain noise or
missing data points. Ensuring the accuracy and
quality of the data is crucial to avoid
inaccuracies in the 3D model Point Cloud Size and
Processing Time Large point clouds can be
computationally intensive to process and convert
into 3D models. Managing the size of the point
cloud and optimizing processing time is a
significant challenge
Utilize the model for on-site renovations,
serving as an accurate As-Built model for
enhanced project management and execution
Leverage Revit models to facilitate precise
measurements, detailed annotations, and
comprehensive geometric insights, enhancing
project understanding and decision-making
processes Harness the editability and
customization capabilities of Revit models to
effortlessly implement design changes,
modifications, and refinements, fostering agility
and adaptability throughout the project lifecycle
Gain a visually intuitive representation of the
object or environment through Revit models,
offering enhanced clarity and comprehension
compared to raw point clouds, thereby elevating
project visualization and communication efficacy
