These tribes once used to reside inside the core
areas of the jungle and were considered to be the
spine of conservation of Asiatic lions. Jashu
also used to be a lion tracker walking behind the
pride of lions and worked very closely with the
forest deartment as a Van Mitra, i.e. friend
of the forest. He now works at the hotel as our
guardian angel at night. His stories are very
thrilling and helps one connect and understand
