Who is Eligible to File GST Return Online?
  • GST registered business
  • A person with an annual turnover of more than Rs.
    20 Lakhs.
  • For some special states, the annual turnover
    limit is Rs. 10 Lakhs.

    Tax Identification Number

  • There are different GST Returns forms available
    in India to be filed as per the GST Law-
  • GSTR-1 Details of all outside supplies of
    taxable goods and services.
  • GSTR-2 Details of all internal supplies of
    taxable goods and services.
  • GSTR-3 Form filled automatically on the basis of
    outside supplies internal supplies related
    details filled in GSTR-1 GSTR-2.
  • GSTR-4 Details of outward supplies, tax payable
    and payment of tax.
  • GSTR-5 Details of outside supplies, imports,
    input tax, tax paid, and remaining stock.
  • GSTR-6 Information of return for input service
    distributor.

    e-commerce operator and the amount of tax

How to File GST Return Online?
  • Step 1 Visit the official portal of GST
  • Step 2 Log in to the GST portal by entering your
    username, password, captcha code.
  • Step 3 Navigate the option of Returns
    Dashboard by clicking on ServicesgtgtReturnsgtgt
    Return Dashboard given in the menu bar.
  • Step 4 Select the right financial year and
    return filing period given in the dropdown menu
    and click on Search button.
  • Step 5 Select the appropriate GST Return form as
    per the nature of your transactions.

  • Step 6 Enter all the essential details
    accurately as per your accounting records.
  • Step 7 Save your filled form for your future
    reference and then submit your GST Return.
  • Step 8 If your GST Return status changes to
    Submitted, click on the Payment of Tax button
    and then choose the option of Check Balance and
    then click on the Offset liability to pay the
    tax.
  • Step 9 Check the box against declaration and
    select an authorized signatory. Then choose among
    file form with DSC or file form with EVC and
    then proceed to pay the tax.
