Chichén Itzá
Chichén Itzá a fost unul dintre cele mai mari
orase din peninsula Yucatán, al carui prim apogeu
a fost în epoca clasica tardiva (600-900) când au
fost construite edificiile în stil Puuc Orasul a
fost fondat în anul 435 d.C de mayasi iar în anul
900 a fost ocupat de triburile Itzá care au
introdus un nou stil arhitectonic cu linii sobre

the late classical era (600-900) when the
buildings in Puuc style were built. The city was
founded in the year 435 AD of Maya and in 900 it
was occupied by the Itzá tribes who introduced a
new architectural style with sober lines and
lacking the remarkable previous sculptural works.
In the late postclassical era (1200-1400) the
buildings of the militarized Toltec city were
built but the conflicts led to the city's decline
and its abandonment in the century
