Tirupati. During his college years, he was very
active in student politics and showed strong
leadership skills. In 1978, when he was 28
years old, Naidu started his political career and
became a member of the Legislative Assembly of
Andhra Pradesh. He initially joined the Indian
National Congress but later switched to the
Telugu Desam Party (TDP), founded by his
father-in-law, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao
(NTR). Naidu married NTR's daughter,
Bhuvaneswari, and they have a son named Nara
Lokesh, who is also involved in politics. Naidu
is well-known for his efforts to develop Andhra

Chandrababu Naidu Political Career Naidu began
his political journey as a member of the Indian
National Congress party. On 28, he was elected
to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from
Chandragiri constituency in 1978. He was
appointed as the Minister for Archives and
Cinematography, making him the youngest minister
in the state at that time. His early involvement
in politics showcased his leadership potential
