• Scuba diving in Havelock was one of the most
  admirable underwater experiences during our trip
  to the Andaman Islands. We were 4 of us who opted
  for Seahawks Scuba (a reputable and experienced
  dive school) to experience a memorable scuba
  diving trip in Havelock Island. The dive school
  offers various popular scuba diving packages for
  beginners or nonswimmers. We opted for a scuba
  diving combo package for 2 locations
• in the 12.30 pm slot.
• The package we selected cost us INR 11800 per
  person for 40 minutes of actual dive time at
  each location. The package also included hotel
  pick-up and drop, and one time meal during the
  scuba dive trip.

• Scuba dive training at Beach
• We were picked up from our hotel (HIBR) in
  Havelock to the Seahawks scuba at 1 pm to
  complete the required paperwork and get ready for
  the trip. After initial formalities, we
• were dropped to Beach-3, Govind Nagar, Havelock
  to undergo a basic scuba dive training session
  at the chest deep water. Our trainers were really
  impressive who taught us basic diving skills
  with patience and gave sufficient time to
  practice skills to make us comfortable. They
  also motivated and helped us to overcome our
  initial fear of scuba diving.
• After the training process, our dive boat was
  ready to take us to a thrilling experience. They
  maintain an instructor and guest ratio of 11
  during the actual dive to have a safe and smooth
  dive experience.
• Tribe Gate dive site (Oval Reef)
• Tribe Gate was our first scuba dive destination
  that was approx 2 kilometers away from our
  training point. It is an oval-shaped dive site
  popular for experiencing multiple species of
  fishlife and sea anemones. Tribe Gate resembles
  crystal clear waters with a maximum depth of 12
  meters. On arrival at the dive site, we were
  getting ready to make a back-roll entry from the
  boat into the sea.
• Each dive master assisted each of us while making
  a back-roll entry from the boat. Our personal
  dive instructors made us comfortable and did a
  quick check of our basic dive skills. Then our
  dive instructors started to descend with us
  gradually while we kept in a comfortable
  position. Swimming was not allowed for us as it
  was a non-swimming activity. During the dive, we
  saw Schools of snappers, Bannerfish,
  Butterflyfish, Batfish, Ghost pipefish,
  Groupers, Fusilier, Trevallies, Sweetlips, Sea
  cucumber, sea anemones, and many more marine
  species. The actual dive lasted for 40 minutes
  and it was genuinely
• incredible. We encountered and witnessed
  colourful marine life.

• Surface Interval with Lunch
• It is mandatory to take surface intervals after
  each dive to recover our body from excess
  nitrogen inhaled. Surface interval is must to
  expel excess nitrogen dissolved in our body due
  to underwater pressure. We also had an energetic
  meal during the surface interval to prepare
  ourselves for the second diving session.
• Turtle Beach dive site
• After the surface interval, we moved to our
  second scuba diving location, around 10
  kilometers from the Tribe Gate dive site. We
  reached Turtle Beach dive site close to
• Elephanta Beach, Havelock. The reef of the dive
  site starts from the shoreline of Turtle
• Beach and the shallower part of the reef starts
  from 3 meters while the deepest part goes
• to 10 meters. Turtle Beach is the top-rated dive
  site for beginners or non-swimmers to experience
  the best scuba diving in Andaman.

visibility of the dive site was awesome, it is
because of minimum human intervention and the
far remote location of the dive site. The dive
site is popular for its live stag horn corals
lying across the reef and multiple species of
colourful fish life. While stingrays, manta
rays, and Octopus lie in the sandy bottom of the
reef. We did our second diving session at Turtle
Beach and explored the incredibly rich formation
of marine animals and coral reefs. We dived
underwater for 40 minutes as per our package
selection and recorded beautiful underwater
memories while being underwater. 5. Lighthouse
(Sunset point) After the second dive, we moved
to Lighthouse Point to witness beautiful sunset
views. Our speed boat stopped at Havelock
Lighthouse Point and it was time to capture
mesmerising landscapes and captivating sunset
views. Our scuba dive trip ended post- sunset at
5.30 pm which left unforgettable memories behind
us. Havelock Island is the richest natural
habitat and trips like this are a great way to
