    in 1983. While in the UK, he gained extensive
    experience at several top- notch institutions,
    like Imperial College and the University of
    Surrey. In addition to serving as Dean of
    Mechanical Engineering at GIK Institute of
    Engineering Sciences, Managing Director of the
    National Education Foundation, Ministry of
    Education, and Director/CEO of NFC Institute of
    Engineering Technology (NFCIET) Multan, Dr.
    Afzal was appointed Professor of Mechanical
    Engineering at NED University of Engineering
    Technology at the age of 34.

    the MOULTON GOLD MEDAL for the finest research
