SECTION 1 GENERAL INFORMATION AND SAFETY
TO THE OWNER GENERAL
While washing the tractor, using a high pressure
washing machine, do not stand too close to the
tractor and avoid directing the jet at electrical
connections, breathers, seals, filler caps, etc.
Never direct a cold water jet at a hot engine or
exhaust.
This Manual has been prepared to assist you in
the correct procedure for running- in, driving
and operating and for the maintenance of your
new tractor. Your tractor, which was designed to
power and propel itself, is intended for use in
normal and customary agricultural applications.
SAFETY
Pages 5 to 9 include the list of precautions to
be observed to ensure your safety and the safety
of others. Read the safety precautions and
follow the advice offered before operating the
tractor.
Read this Manual carefully and keep it in a
convenient place for future references. If at any
time you require advice concerning your tractor,
do not hesitate to contact your Authorised
Dealer. He has company trained personnel,
genuine manufacturers parts and the necessary
equipment to carry out all your service
requirements.
SERVICE PARTS
It should be pointed out that genuine parts have
been examined and approved by the company. The
installation and/or usage of non-genuine
products could have negative effects upon the
design characteristics of your tractor and
thereby affect its safety. The Company is not
liable for any damage caused by the use of non-
genuine parts and accessories.
Your tractor has been designed and built to give
maximum performance, economy and ease of
operation under a wide variety of operating
conditions. Prior to delivery, the tractor was
carefully inspected, both at the factory and by
your dealer to ensure that it reaches you in
optimum condition. To maintain this condition
and trouble- free operation, it is important
that the routine services, as specified in
Section 4 of this manual, are carried out at the
recommended intervals.
Only Genuine Case IH replacement parts should be
used. The use of non-genuine parts may invalidate
legal approvals associated with this product.
It is prohibited to carry out any modifications
to the tractor unless specifically authorised,
in writing, by the After Sales Service
department of the Company.
CLEANING THE TRACTOR
WARRANTY
When cleaning the tractor, particularly if using
a high pressure washing machine. precaution has
to be taken to safeguard electrical / electronic
components and connections. The pressure
generated by some of these machines is such that
complete protection against water ingress cannot
be guaranteed.
Your tractor is warranted according to the
current legislation in our country and with
contractual agreements reached with the dealer
at the time of sale. However, the warranty is no
longer valid if the rules and instructions for
the use and maintenance of the tractor described
in this manual are not observed.

SECTION 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION
SAFETY ECOLOGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Soil, air and water are vital factors of
agriculture and life in general. Where
legislation does not yet rule the treatment of
some of the substances which are required by
advanced technology, common sense should govern
the use and disposal of products of a chemical
and petrochemical nature.
4. Avoid spillage when draining off used engine
coolant mixtures, engine, gearbox and hydraulic
oils, brake fluids, etc. Do not mix drained brake
fluids or fuels with lubricants. Store them
safely until they can be disposed off in a
proper way to comply with local legislation and
available resources.
The following are recommendations which may be of
assistance
5. Modern coolant mixtures, i.e. antifreeze and
other additives, should be replaced every two
years. They should not be allowed to get into the
soil but should be collected and disposed off
safely.
  • Become acquainted with and ensure that you
understand the relative legislation applicable to
    your country.
  • Where no legislation exists, obtain information
from suppliers of oils, filters, batteries,
fuels, cleaning agents, etc., with regard to
their effect on man and nature and how to safely
store, use and dispose of these substances.
Agricultural consultants will, in many cases, be
able to help you as well.

6. Do not open the air- conditioning
system yourself. It contains gases which should
not be released into the atmosphere. Your dealer
or air conditioning specialist has a special
extractor for this purpose and will have to
recharge the system properly.
7. Repair any leaks or defects in the engine
cooling or hydraulic system immediately.
HELPFUL HINTS
1. Avoid filling tanks using open containers or
inappropriate pressurised fuel delivery systems
which may cause excessive spillage.
8. Do not increase the pressure in a pressurised
circuit as this may lead to the component
exploding.
2. In general, avoid skin contact with all fuels,
oils, acids, solvents, etc. Most of them contain
substances which can be harmful to your health.
9. Protect hoses during welding as penetrating
weld splatter may burn a hole or weaken them,
causing the loss of oils, coolant, etc.
3. Modern oils contain additives. Do not burn
contaminated fuels and/or waste oils in ordinary
heating systems.

SECTION 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION
SAFETY SAFETY PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS
A careful operator is the best operator. Most
accidents can be avoided by observing certain
precautions. To help prevent accidents, read and
take the following precautions before driving,
operating or servicing the tractor. Equipment
should be operated only by those who are
responsible and instructed to do so.
DRIVING THE TRACTOR
1. Always sit in the drivers seat while starting
or driving the tractor.
2. When driving on public roads, have
consideration for other road users. Pull in to
the left side of the road occasionally to allow
any following traffic to pass. Do not exceed the
legal speed limit set for agricultural tractors.
THE TRACTOR
  1. Read this Operators Manual carefully before
using the tractor. Lack of operating knowledge
    can lead to accidents.
  2. Only allow properly trained and qualified persons
    to operate the tractor.
  3. To prevent falls, use the handrails and step
plates when getting on and off the tractor. Keep
steps and platform clear of mud and debris.
  4. Replace all missing, illegible or damaged safety
    decals.
  5. Keep safety decals free of dirt or grime.
  1. Dip the tractor lights when meeting a vehicle at
night. Make sure the lights are adjusted to
prevent blinding the driver of an oncoming
    vehicle.
  2. Reduce speed before turning or applying the
brakes. Brake both wheels simultaneously when
making an emergency stop. Ensure that both brake
pedals are locked together when travelling at
road speeds or when on public roads ensure
    correct operation of trailer brakes.
  1. Use extreme caution and avoid hard application
of the tractor brakes when towing heavy loads at
    road speeds.
  2. Keep the tractor in the same gear when going
downhill as would be used when going uphill. Do
not coast or freewheel down hills.
  1. Do not permit anyone but the operator to ride on
the tractor. It is unsafe for extra passengers to
    travel.
  2. Keep children away from the tractor and farm
    machinery at all times.
  3. Do not modify or alter or permit anyone else to
modify or alter the tractor or any of its
components or any tractor function without first
    consulting your dealer.
  4. Install all guards before starting the engine or
    operating the tractor.

10. Tractor wheels are very heavy. They need to
be handled with care. Ensure that they are
stored at a place whrer they do not fall down
cause injury.
