  • 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Intended use
  • CNH Industrial designed and manufactured this
machine for the purpose of lifting, handling, and
    transporting agri- cultural or industrial
products by means of specific attachments
approved by CASE IH. Any other use is considered
contrary to the intended use of the machine and,
therefore, improper. The machine is intended to
be used under normal conditions for the
applications described in this manual. If you use
the machine for other purposes or in haz- ardous
environments (for example, in an area with
flammable or explosive materials) you must follow
special safety regulations and equip the machine
    for use in such environments.
  • NOTICE your telehandler is designed according to
European directives related to health and safety
risks and com- plies with 2006/42/EC. You must
carefully read, understand, and observe all
safety signs on the machine, those indicated in
the working area, as well as the information in
this manual. If you need further assistance,
contact your authorized CASE IH dealer.
  • Your Telehandler is designed and made to pull, to
carry, and to power a variety of mounted or towed
equipment, within some physical limits. The
working speed and performance may depend of a
number of various parameters, such as weather
and terrain conditions. Though the machine is
designed to perform in combination with a variety
of equipment in most crops and conditions, there
may be a number of combinations of the above
parameters, for which there is severe
degradation of performance of the machine and/or
its mounted or trailed equipment. If you notice
degradation of performance, contact your dealer
for assistance. Your dealer may have useful
information for improvements, or a kit be
    available to enhance the performance.
  • Do not exceed the maximum speed limit of 10 km/h
(6 mph) when the machine carrying a load. Injury
to operator or damage to machine may occur if
    operation limits are exceeded.
  • Your telehandler is not designed for the handling
    of freight containers.
  • Your telehandler is not designed for the handling
    of freely-suspended loads.
  • Do not use the machine for another purpose other
than that intended by CASE IH and outlined in
    this manual.
  • Do not use the machine beyond its limits of
terrain gradient and stability as outlined
further in this manual. Using the machine beyond
these limits may result in roll over or tip over.
Observe the recommendations in this manual.
  • Do not use the machine above speed that are
allowed by the load and environment. A wet
surface or other slippery conditions may
increase the braking distance or result in
vehicle instability. Always adapt your traveling
speed according to the load of the machine and
    the characteristics of the road.
  • Do not use the machine near or on soft verges of
canals and brooks and/or banks or verges that are
undermined by rodents. The machine may sink
    sideways and roll over.
  • Do not use the machine on brittle bridge heads
and poor bridge floors. These constructions may
collapse and cause rollover of the machine.
Always check the conditions and carrying capacity
of bridges and ramps before you travel on them.
  • Always wear your seat belt. The Roll Over
Protective Structure cab or ROPS will only be
fully effective when the driver remains secured
    in the seat.
  • Do not use incorrectly-mounted or incompatible
mounted equipment with this machine. Such
equipment may in- crease the risk roll over, and
may strike the machine if it comes loose.
  • Before you attach any equipment to this machine,
read and understand the operator's manual
supplied with the equipment. The machine is a
universal tool to carry, tow, and drive a variety
of equipment. This manual alone cannot provide
you with all the information required for the
    safe operation of equipment combinations.
  • Do not use the machine beyond its limits of
dynamic stability. High speed, abrupt maneuvers,
and fast and short cornering will increase the
    risk of roll over.
  • Be extremely cautious when you work with the
machine at forage silos without lateral concrete
walls. Dual wheels or a wide track setting may
improve the lateral stability of the machine.

  • 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION
  • next to public roads or footpaths. Thrown objects
can get projected outside the field and hit
unprotected people like bikers or pedestrians.
Wait to cut the edge of the field until the field
    is clear of bystanders.
  • Do not allow riders on the machine. Do not allow
people to stand on the access way or to step into
the cab when the machine is in motion. Your view
to the left will be obstructed, and a rider could
fall from the machine during unforeseen or
    abrupt movements.
  • Always stay clear of the operating area of
implements and mounted equipment. In particular,
do not stand in the area between the machine and
a trailed vehicle or the three-point linkage.
When you operate lift controls, make sure that
the operating area is clear of all bystanders.
  • Your telehandler may be equipped with a number of
sensors to control safety functions. Tripping
these sensors will result in a safe operation
mode. Do not attempt to bypass any function on
the machine. You will be exposed to serious
hazard, and moreover, the behavior of the machine
    may become unpredictable.
  • A machine has only one operator station and is a
single-operator vehicle. Other people on or
around the machine during normal operation are
    not allowed.

  • 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC)
  • This machine complies strictly with the European
    Regulations on electro-magnetic emissions.
However, interference may arise as a result of
add-on equipment which may not necessarily meet
the required standards. As such interfer- ence
can result in serious malfunction of the unit
and/or create unsafe situations, you must observe
    the following
  • Ensure that each piece of non- CASE IH equipment
fitted to the machine bears the CE mark.
  • The maximum power of emission equipment (radio,
telephones, etc.) must not exceed the limits
imposed by the national authorities of the
country where you use the machine.
  • The electro-magnetic field generated by the
add-on system should not exceed 24 V/m at any
time and at any lo- cation in the proximity of
    electronic components.
  • Failure to comply with these rules will render
the CASE IH warranty null and void.
