PRE-OPERATION
NOTE It is advisable to use stabilizer bars to
pre- vent side to side movement of the cutter. If
Y do not have them, they are available (for
certain models) from your Word Tractor Dealer. On
some models of tractors, a turn buckle
arrangement is used in lieu of stablizer bars, to
prevent side movement of the lower links.
4. Adjust the height-of-cut by loosening the two
set collars (2), Figure 2, and then raising or
lowering the gauge wheel (3) to the desired
height of cut. Secure the gauge wheel in place by
tightening the set collars.
CAUTION Place suitable blocking under the
cufter to prevent it from lowering while making
repairs or ad- justments.
3. Attach the top link, to the rotary cutter
A-Frame.
  • CAUTION A 3/4I.D., I- I/2 0,D. 18

    being pulled through( the slot,
  • Stop the tractor engine and disengage tha trac-
    tor P.T.O.
  • Place a few drops of oil on the P.T,O. shaft.

wheel rests on the ground and the cutter is level
front-to-rear or slightly higher at the rear.
Then position the adjustable stop on the quadrant
against the lift control lever so the cutter can
be returned to the same cutting height.

the most uniform cut, the cutter is normaIIY
operated in a level position or with the rear
higher. Leveling ad- justment and height-of-cut
adjustment are madp as follows,

pin connecting it to the cutter is centered in
the slot of the A-Frame.
