The Gand Mool Nakshatra is one of the 27
Nakshatras that is ruled by Ketu and Mercury.

Gandu in Sanskrit means Knot or joints and

How to perform Gandmool Dosha Nivaran Puja?
Gand Mool Nakshatra Shanti Pujahis puja is done
in a specific way on the 27th day of the childs
birth including various rituals and jaap for 10
to 12 hours.
Puja is performed by

• The pandits prepare a Gand Mool Dosha Homam or
  Havan Kund to initiate the puja
• The Gand Mool Nakshatra Shanti Puja is usually
  initiated by 2 pandits with a Sankalp followed by
  Gauri Ganesha Aarti.

• The pandits will perform a total of 27000 Gand
  Mool Nakshatra Jaap followed by Shanti puja and
  Havan rituals
• Devotees offer different types of fruits and
  flowers in this particular quantity of 27 namely,
  27 fruits, 27 flowers, 27 leaves, water from 27
  wells, etc.
• The entire rituals of this vital puja includes
  Ganapati Puja, Sankalp, Punyahavachan, Kuldevi
  Puja, Nandi Shradh, Varun Puja, Navagraha Puja,
  Havan Rituals, 27 Nakshatra Puja, Mahamangal
  Aarti, Ritual for the Child, Tilak, Ashirvachan,
  Pradhan and Devta Puja .
• Lastly, the puja ends with Poornauthi and Prasad
  Vitaran.
