INSTRUCTIONS FOR Mogul 12-25 H. P. Kerosene
Tractor PREPARATCONSFOR STARTING
the tractor should be looked over carefully
and all oil holes cleaned of paint and dirtif
any threaded oil holes are found and no grease
cup or pipe connection to it, the cups were
probably lost in transit and should be replaced
before starting up. Place clean sheep wool in all
large oil hole reservoirs before filling with
oil. OILIHO. iirease Cups Fill all grease cups
with a good grade of Clean hard grease and turn
down cups until grease appears at ends of bear-
ings. (See page 24.) 3teehaoieal Oiler Fill
the mechanical oiler with a good grade of heavy
gas engine cylinder oil through front door in top
of hood. (See oils recommended, page 21. )
Plenty of oil should be used in the mechanical
oiler, as it takes care of the whole engine, and
serious damage will result if this
ill oiler zta
oiler is allowed to run dry. The oiler can be
made to feed more or less oi1 by adjusting set
screw A up to increase, or down to decrease,
and will not re- quire much attention from the
operator other than to supply the oiler with oil,
as it starts and stops with the engine, no f u r
t h e r adjustment being neces- sary.
Important In cool or cold weather, the oil
in lubricator tank must be warmed, as it will
not 8ow readily unless of the right temperature.

Before starting engine for the first time, turn
the engine over slowly by hand and oil or grease
all moving parts and see that they move freely.
