Storage shed and Backyard Living Space
This storage shed was custom built to the
clients needs. The clients wanted additional
storage for their home in order to safely store
many different items. They also wanted their
backyard landscaped into a relaxing, beautiful
living space. The shed was designed to match the
house and a flat rock path was created to flow
from the deck to the shed. The rock path
prevents grass and dirt from being tracked into
the shed and onto the deck, while adding natural
character to this backyard living space. Just
like a home, this shed uses 24 construction with
1/2" plywood sheathing, 60mm building paper,
while being cladded with 110 board and fibre
cement siding. The shed is electrified with
lights and has a thermostat which controls an
electric baseboard heater. The shed walls and
ceiling are insulated and finished.
