Why ENERGY STAR- labeled office equipment?
Paper accounts for about 26 of total waste at
landfills. Before you print, ask yourself if
its necessary to print or will those pages make
a quick beeline to the trash can.1
When you no longer need the document, recycle
it! It takes 70 less energy and water to
recycle paper than to create new paper from
trees. Recycling just one ton of paper saves 17
trees as well as 3.3 cubic yards of landfill
space.2
ENERGY STAR-labeled computers use 30-65 less
energy than other computers, depending on usage
with up to 75 savings.3

With so much wasted paper in landfills, consider
setting your defaults to print double-sided.
According to a U.S. Navy study, the estimated
savings from duplex or double-sided printing is
one cent a page, plus saving a substantial
number of trees.4

are discarded annually, ending up in landfills
where they take up to 1,000 years to decompose
