Never service attachments I implements
without instructions. See Operation Maintenance
Manual and Attachment / Implement Service
Manual. Cleaning and maintenance are required
daily. Never service or adjust attachment I
implement with the engine running unless
instructed to do so in manual. Always lower the
attachment / implement to the ground before
lubricating or servicing. Avoid contact with
leaking hydraulic fluid or diesel fuel under
pressure. R can penetrate skin or eyes. Stop,
cool and clean engine of flammable materials
before checking fluids. Keep body, loose objects
and clothing away from moving parts, electrical
contacts, hot parts and exhaust. Safety glasses
are needed for eye protection from electrical
arcs, battery acid, compressef springs, fIuds
under pressure and flying debris or when tools
are used. Use eye protection approved for type of
welding.

Always use the serial number of the rebar bender
when requesting service information or when
ordering parts. Early or later models
(identification made by serial number) may use
different parts, or it may be necessary to use a
different procedure in doing a specific service

TROUBLESHOOTING Chart
Instructions are necessary before operating or
servicing machine. Read and understand the
Operation Maintenance Manual, Operator's
Handbook and signs (decals) on machine. Follow
warnings and instructions irt the manuals when
making repairs, adjustments or servicing. Check
for correct function after adjustments, repairs
or service. Untrained operators arid failure to
follow instructions can cause injury or death. W
2g030B07 If the attachment is not working
correctly, check the hydraulic system of the
machine thoroughly before making any repairs on
the attachment. Attachment problems can be
affected by a hydraulic system that is not
operating to specifications. Connect a flow meter
to the machine to check the hydraulic pump
output, relief valve setting and tube lines to
check flow and pressure. (See the machine's
Service Manual for the correct procedure to
connect the flow meter.) Use the following
troubleshooting chart to locate and correct
problems which most often occur with the
attachment.
PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION
Rebar bender does not seat properly on the Bob-Tach . Bob-Tach pins are not fully retracted before installation. Retract Bob-Tach pins before installing.
Rebar bender does not seat properly on the Bob-Tach . Mud, dirt or stones are lodged between the Bob-Tach and the rebar bender. Remove debris between Bob-Tach and rebar bender.
Loader will not start with loader key switch with attachment installed. Engine stop switch on Remote Attachment Control engaged. Turn the engine stop switch clockwise to reset the switch.
Loader will not start with loader key switch with attachment installed. Key switch on Remote Attachment Control in the run position. Turn the key switch to the OFF position.
Loader will not start with the Remote Attachment Control key switch. Engine stop switch on Remote Attachment Control engaged. Turn the engine stop switch clockwise to reset the switch.
Loader will not start with the Remote Attachment Control key switch. Loader key switch in the run position. Turn the loader key switch to the OFF position.
Rebar bender does not turn. No hydraulic flow. Check / depress the AUX button on the RAC panel if the light is not on
Rebar bender does not turn. No hydraulic flow. Check quick couplers connection. Check for damaged hose ends and fittings.
Rebar bender does not turn. No hydraulic flow. Engage loader front auxiliary hydraulics.
Rebar bender does not turn. Faulty manifold valve. Repair or replace manifold valve.
Machine will not turn on from RAC remote key. Blown fuse. Check fuses.

P108286 Inspect the Bob-Tach wedge mount (Item
1), mounting flange (Item 2) Figure 10-20-1 and
all welds on the rebar bender mount for wear and
damage each time the rebar bender is removed from
the machine. Frequently inspect the rebar bender
to ensure that all components are secure and that
all bolts and nuts are thoroughly tightened.

AVOID INJURY OR DEATH The Bob-Tach wedges must
extend through the holes in the attachment
mounting frame. Levers must be fully down and
locked. Failure to secure wedges can allow
attachment to come off. W-27t5-0208

that are damaged, bent or missing. Keep all
fasteners tight. Look for cracked welds. Contact
your Bobcat dealer for repair or replacement
parts.

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICE CODES
Service codes may be either a word or a number.
Service Codes (RAC)
REPLY One or both instrument panel(s) not
communicating with the main machine controller.
The Service Codes displayed on the RAC display
will aid in diagnosing conditions which can
damage your machine.
SHTDN A shutdown condition exists.
CODE DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION
M7748 Key Switch Multiple This error is caused by both the machine key and RAC key being set to RUN. Both keys must be turned to OFF to clear this error code.
A7701 Machine Key Active This error is caused by pressing the AUX button on the RAC when the machine key is set to RUN. Pressing the AUX button in the machine will clear this error code.
A7701 RAC Key Active This error is caused by pressing the AUX button in the machine when the RAC key is set to RUN. Pressing the AUX button on the RAC will clear this error code.
A7901 ESTOP Active This error is caused by the Engine Stop switch being Pressed. Releasing the Engine Stop switch will clear this error code.
NOTE Machine software may need to be updated to
support some of the functionality of the RAC
panel. Please see your authorized Bobcat
Dealer for more information. Figure 10-30-1

Press the INFORMATION button (Item 1) to cycle
the DATA DISPLAY (Item 2) Figure 10-30-1 until
the service code screen is displayed. If more
than one SERVICE CODE is present, the codes will
scroll on the DATA DISPLAY.

NOTE Corroded or loose grounds can cause
multiple service codes and / or abnormal
symptoms. All instrument panel tights
flashing, alarm sounding, headlights and
taillights flashing, could indicate a bad
ground. The same symptoms could apply if the
voltage is low, such as loose or corroded battery
cables. If you observe these symptoms, check
grounds and positive leads first.

ATTACHMENT STORAGE AND RETURN TO SERVICE

Storage
  • After the Bobcat attachment has been in storage,
    it is necessary to follow a list of items below
    to return the attachment to service.
  • Be sure all shields and guards are in place.
  • Sometimes it may be necessary to store your
    BobCat attachment for an extended period of time.
    Below is a list of items to perform before
    storage.
  • Thoroughly clean the attachment.
  • Install and operate attachment, check for correct
    function.
  • Inspect the Bob-Tach wedge mounts, mounting
    flange and all welds on the attachment for wear
    and damage.
  • Check for leaks. Repair as needed.
  • Check for loose hardware, missing guards, or
    damaged parts.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts.
  • Check for damaged or missing decals. Replace if
    necessary.
  • Place the attachment in a dry protected shelter.
  • Place the attachment flat on the ground.
  • NOTE In muddy conditions or to prevent the
    attachment from freezing to the ground, put the
    attachment on planks or blocks before removing
    the attachment from the machine.
