About us

• Uptown International School (UIS), a Taaleem
  school, is one of the country's most prestigious
  IB schools. UIS is a multilingual, global
  educational institution located in the heart of
  the Mirdif community in Dubai. Here students
  learn how to think critically, challenge
  assumptions, excel, build character, build
  friendships, and become multilingual global
  citizens.
• We are an authorized International Baccalaureate
  (IB) World School offering the Primary Years
  Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme
  (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). The school
  language of instruction is English. The Arabic
  language studies are in the Early Years Programme
  and French is offered from Grade 1 onwards.
• It is our goal to nurture students regardless of
  ability or aspiration through outstanding

• The IB Diploma Programme at Uptown School offers
  students an internationally recognized and
  rigorous academic pathway that prepares them for
  success in higher education and beyond. The
  program is designed for students aged 16-19 and
  provides a comprehensive, challenging curriculum
  that emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural
  understanding, and global awareness.
• At Uptown School, the IB Diploma Programme
  focuses on developing well-rounded individuals by
  offering a balanced mix of subjects across six
  academic areas, including languages, sciences,
  mathematics, and humanities. Students choose
  subjects based on their interests and strengths,
  while also engaging in core components such as
  the Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity,
  Activity, Service (CAS), and the Extended Essay.
  These elements foster intellectual curiosity,
  ethical reflection, and personal growth.
• The IB Diploma Programme at Uptown School is
