    the Informatica Cloud portal and install it on
    the
  • new or same machine.
  • 2. Register the Agent
  • Register the new agent with your IDMC
    instance.
  • 3. Add to Secure Agent Group
  • Add the new Secure Agent to the Secure
    Agent group that you want to use for
  • your tasks and connections. 
  • 4. Verify Accessibility
  • Ensure that the new agent can access all
    necessary resources, including
  • databases, files, and network paths, as
    the old agent could.

  • 1. Update Runtime Environments
  • Ensure that connections and tasks are
    configured to use the new Secure Agent group as
    the
  • runtime environment.
  • 2. Test Connections and Tasks
  • Test the connections and tasks to verify
    that they are working correctly with the new
  • Secure Agent.
  • 3. Update Connection Credentials
  • If you store connection properties on the
    original Secure Agent, update the connection
  • credentials on the Organization page and
    select the new Secure Agent.

  • Migrate Workflows, Connections, and Tasks to the
    New Agent
  • Update Task Configuration
  • Any tasks, mappings, or workflows that
    were running on the old secure agent should now
  • be updated to point to the new secure
    agent. This can typically be done in the task or
  • workflow settings in the Informatica
    Cloud Console. Test the tasks to ensure they work
  • properly with the new agent.
  • Test Connectivity
  • Ensure that the new secure agent has the
    proper network connectivity and can access
  • required data sources and services.
  • Secure Agent Requirements
  • Ensure that the new machine meets the
    Secure Agent requirements, including CPU cores,
  • RAM, and disk space.

Update Connection

  • Decommission Old Secure Agent
  • Stop the Old Agent 
  • Stop the old Secure Agent before
    uninstalling it. 
  • Uninstall the Old Agent
  • Uninstall the Secure Agent from the machine
    where it was installed. 
  • 3. Remove from Secure Agent Group 
  • Remove the old Secure Agent from its
    Secure Agent group. 
  • 4. Verify Decommissioning 
  • Ensure that the old agent is no longer
    running and that connections and tasks are using
    the
  • new agent.
