ECRC MISSION
  • Provide oversight to ensure effective
    processing, equipping, training, certification,
    deployment, reach-back, redeployment and
    proactive family support of combat trained Navy
    Individual Augmentees (IA), Ad-Hoc individuals,
    and provisional units deploying for
    non-traditional expeditionary mission in support
    of the Global War on Terrorism.

ECRC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Man
  • Coordinate with FFC N1/PERS 46 regarding IA
    orders
  • Oversight of IA in-processing
  • Train
  • Liaise with FFC and Dept of the Army on mission
    training issues
  • Execute oversight and quota priorities for Navy
    Individual Augmentee Combat Training (NIACT)
  • Equip
  • Uniform/Equipping coordination
  • Organizational Clothing/Individual Equipment
    OCIE and weapons issued at training site.

IA Sailor/Family Support
  • Parent command retains primary responsibility,
    even if family relocates
  • Parent command must maintain regular contact
  • Parent command must utilize both traditional
    (fleet concentration area) and remote resources
  • Increased need if first deployment for family
  • ECRC coordinates support
  • Pride in Sailor runs strong through families

Individual Augmentee Incentives
  • IA TOURS OVER 365 DAYS WILL HAVE PRIORITY
    DETAILING.
  • PERS 4 WILL MAXIMIZE THE USE OF (ITDY) ORDERS
    THAT ALLOW MOVEMENT OF FAMILIES TO ANOTHER
    LOCATION WHEN ASSIGNMENT EXCEEDS 365 DAYS OR
    MORE.
  • SEA DUTY PRDS WILL NOT CHANGE.
  • SHORE DUTY PRDS WILL EXTEND DAY FOR DAY FOR IA
    SERVING IN HDZ and HALF A DAY FOR NON-HDZ
  • OFFICIAL CREDIT FOR IA NEC, AQD, EVAL FITREPS
  • PARTICIPATE IN NCPACE DISTANCE LEARNING
  • PAY TAX FREE, ID/HF, FAMILY SEP, SAVING DEP PROG
  • SIX MONTH REPRIEVE BETWEEN DEPLOYMENTS

Global War On Terrorism Support Assignment (GSA)
  • GSA Initiative (NAVADMIN 147/07)
  • ECRC assumes Parent Command responsibilities for
    all Sailors assigned under GSA initiative.
  • Upon full implementation of the GSA initiative
    (Phases I, II, III), approximately 4000 active
    component Sailors will be assigned PCS to ECRC.
  • 4 UIC on each coast representing Iraq, Kuwait,
    Afghanistan HOA
  • Length of PCS tour for GSA personnel 8 or 14
    months (high turnover).
  • Specific information pertaining to GSA orders and
    entitlements should be discussed with the members
    DETAILER and LOCAL PSD
