Infrastructure Status
  • Cables and cross connects
  • Long haul cables coded awaiting installation
  • Intra-Rack cable coding in progress should be
    complete in 2-3 weeks
  • Cross connect coding in progress should be
    complete in 2-3 weeks
  • Purchasing of parts and supplies 95 complete.
  • Purchases of major components 100 complete.
  • 5 Contingency for last minute purchases.
  • Racks purchased. Rack profiles complete. Loading
    of first rack in progress. Awaiting shipment of
    last two racks.

  • BCS PIC Detector Testers Existing design, six
    weeks to complete
  • BCS Power Supply Current Monitor New design in
    progress, 12 weeks to complete
  • BCS Toroid Comparator New design in progress,
    14 weeks to complete
  • BCS Flow Meter Chassis New design, prototype
    currently under test. Pending approval will
    replace one flow switch each of the redundant
    pairs for the Electron Dump and FEE ST1.
  • VME 64X Crates Cards Shipment expected April
    11, 2008

Gas and Water Systems
  • Gas systems
  • Gas Panel - design complete
  • Installation of gas panel including valves,
    pressure switches, flow meter will be completed
    by CEF when parts arrive and there is beneficial
    occupancy of B913
  • Water systems
  • Design complete
  • Installation of flow switches and valves to be
    completed by CEF when parts arrive and there is
    beneficial occupancy of B921

Software
  • EPICS displays for status and control will be
    ready by September.
  • Note Software display of digital I/O and analog
    status is provided to facilitate accelerator
    operations. It is not required for the proper
    functioning of the BCS.

Certification Procedures
  • Two Procedures need to be written
  • LCLS PICs LIONs
  • LCLS Flow Switches
  • The BCS Global procedure needs to be revised to
    accommodate new BCS areas for the LCLS.
  • Procedures to be written, reviewed and approved
    by end of September.

Conclusions
  • All current issues are being addressed and there
    are no risks I foresee that would prevent the BCS
    from being ready on schedule.
