SOA Defined

• SOA is an integrated software infrastructure
  leveraging XML and web services.
• The goal of an SOA is to achieve loose coupling
  among interacting software assets
• Enables reuse and sharing of IT infrastructure
  including legacy and packaged applications data
  sources.
• Abstracts complexity of existing assets and
  presents standards-based, business-oriented
  interfaces to other applications
