Magnetism and Electric Current

• Galvanometer device which measures the
  direction and strength of electric current.
• Galvanometer registers a weak current when a
  magnet is moved inside a coil of wire. (also,
  when the coil is moved)

• Induced current is the current produced in a
  conductor by a changing magnetic field.
• Changes mechanical energy into electric energy.

• All homes and businesses use induced current when
  they use energy from the power plant.
• Power plants produce energy with electric
  generators.
