• iPod example works but is stereotypical, consider
  changing it (something that maybe comes from P or
  Ps data?)
• Competition on customization level is not a clear
  concept yet the personalization/customization of
  iPod comes from personal content, customization
  of an apartment comes .
• Maybe choose most essential reference rather than
  list all

• Authors job to decide the (default) order of
  reading example first or presented and discussed
  chapter by chapter. No playing with upper and
  lower half of the pages
• Criticism on imaginary example does not work gt
  you only criticize your own understanding of UCD
  projecting your own agendas on it. Criticize real
  examples or principles of UCD.
• Colonialist theory of western culture being
  considered superior and thus a non-culture and
  the criticism on UCD based on that is not at all
  understandable from Finnish point of view.
• Just compare UI design in an English speaking and
  Finnish speaking country understanding that you
  have the culture of your own is impossible not to
  notice here
• gtgt the criticism needs to be more focused
• Ideological agenda or design challenge?
• Jung-Joos voice and research angle seems to be
  missing. Is Salils agenda too dominating?

  kind of interpretations do they lead

• Frame seems to be central and focusing on that
  might make sense (or to the relationship of
  framing knowing)
• Maybe theories about schemas, paradigms,
  hermeneutic pre-understanding could be
  consulted
• Professonal vs. non-professional design knowing
  to be addressed if konkari examples are used
• Very relativistic attitude (Knowing A is ok if
  you can benefit from that, though B might be
  true) would be the towards knowing a bit
  difficult to me --- why not speaking about
  Believing in design(ing)? Believes drive your
  actions, are evaluative by nature, but do not
  need to be true.
